MGMT, “Time To Pretend” (Diplo Remix)

Get it while you can.  For preventative legal reasons, I’m not hosting it here. honestly, it’s not my favorite, I think that Diplo should stick to baile funk/bmore remixes.  but I know that you kiddies at are probably going to eat this up.      Credit to ridiculousbullshit.com for bringing this to my attention.

It is the most fitting combination and somehow I did not see it coming, Treasure Fingers and Chromeo!
Glossy sleaze meets glossy sleaze in a single I would qualify more as a cover then a remix. Almost identical song structure with the signature Dave 1 voice. Can we expect this to be a future tour lineup?
Treasure Fingers- Cross the Dance Floor (Chromeo Remix)

Coachella always pulls out pop groups from the eighties to reunite and everyone always goes from absolutely no care for the group to full fledged hysteria, often without even remembering the words to the songs. The only problem with this is that the world is running out of bands to reunite. This is why I am guessing Duran Duran may be gracing our favorite hundred degree stage soon.
So here is a song to get reunited with, now with a nice little electro kick courtesy of 33HZ.
Duran Duran- Tempted (33 HZ Remix)

I am not very impressed by the new Britney single but I could not help from posting it due to an amazingly named remix by electronic legend Tommie Sunshine.
Britney Spears-Womanizer (Tommie Sunshine’s ‘Holy Shit, The Economy Is Fucked’ Re-Rub)

MGMT has been ruling the blog world due to college students loving indy music and the fact that Justice did a remix. Also this is one of those strange occasions where the public seems perfectly fine with two great singles and the rest of the album being mediocre. Well make that three hits thanks to DFA’s highly dependable Holy Ghost! taking this and turning it more Hot Chip then Peter Bjorn and John.

New DJ Koolaid Remix

I have been a big supporter from the very beginning and I happy that the quality just continues to grow. In this cut we have tripped out flowing sound with the boom boom drum beat as more of a steady background, this is a more mature mix, less dance floor spazz and a heady emotional buzz..
Hess is More – Yess Boss (dj koolaid rmx 9000)
As a bonus here is Koolaid’s remix of the MGMT “Kids”. This was produced but never released some time ago.

Go outside. But first, put these on your Ipod.

Journey- Don’t Stop Believing (Andy Clockwork Remix)
The beat is infectious. The vocal loop is cheesy but grin worthy. This may be my favorite song of the moment.
Jamtech Foundation VS The Prodigy- Out of Space 2008
I raved about Jamtech foundation when I first heard them and I plan on doing the same as new material circulates. I seem to like happy music right now. Is that a bad thing?
MGMT- Kids (Soulwax Nite Version)
Finally, the high quality version. Jam of the um…fall.

MGMT Kids (Soulwax Remix)

This song is hot shit. One of the most anticipated songs of the season (or at least the week), the expectation is high after the Soulwax boys blew us all away with their remix of “Hey Girl, Hey Boy“.
And MGMT has been weirdly riding the pop culture popularity wave since the very beginning despite reports of lackluster shows and the fact the album only had one good song. Well here that one great song is, remixed by Soulwax.

MGMT Kids (Soulwax Remix) Ripped from the Creamfields Essential Mix
This song is so anticipated that the usually dependable Palms Out Sounds posted a link that really went to the Rick Astley song “Don’t Give up the Dream”. A practical joke or an actual mistake? In any case they hit #1 on Hype Machine with the fake version and got fifty some comments by pissed fans.
