This pretty much served as my introduction to live music in Chicago, and I don’t think I’ve stopped going to shows since. Carte Blanche (DJ Mehdi + Riton of Ed Banger Records) didn’t take the stage until about 3:00AM, with Kid Sister following nearly an hour later. Best part is… they served drinks the entire time. Miike Snow is coming to the Hawthrone Theater this coming Wednesday, and coming this Tuesday Miike Snow will be re-releasing Miike Snow (the band’s debut LP) via iTunes. The most exciting part of this (apart from having two new original songs), is that the “Deluxe Edition” will come with 5 new tracks, two of which are remixes by Mark Ronson, and DJ Mehdi.
Miike Snow’s songs have been remixed a number of times (Some of which we have posted here before), which to me indicates the accessibility of their music. They’ll be bringing this music (and hopefully the new songs!) to the Hawthorne Theater this Wednesday (the 14th), and they’ll be playing along side the very buzz-worthy Delorean.
