Regardless of genre or style, rocking a crowd comes naturally to Nyx, along with a love for all that is bass. Flawless track selection all tied together with seamlessly fast mixing, and an energetic stage presence as she rips through tunes during her set. Since her first gig in ‘04 she quickly made a name for herself and became a staple in the Pacific NW Breaks & Drum and Bass scene, & has been playing various locations around the States and Canada since. She is also the only female resident on c98.5fm (Seattle’s only electronic music radio streaming worldwide @ c895worldwide.com) as well as having landed residencies with Housewreckin’ & free.BASS (the largest EDM Club Night in Seattle) and PrissCo out of Salt Lake City, UT. This year is looking to be a big one as she gets into the studio.

Today we’ve got the latest single by Amsterdam based DJ and production team Mason for you (via DISCODUST), most well-known for their massive club track ‘Exceeder’ (and the alternative version ‘Perfect’ with Princess Superstar) and remixes for artists such as Robyn, Moby, Rex The Dog and Hadouken!.
The new single ‘Corrected’, released on Mason’s very own Animal Language imprint, features Mason’s signature driving electro house production along with vocals from DMC of the hip hop legend RUN DMC and rising star Sam Sparro, soulful pop singer known best for his hit single ‘Black & Gold’.
‘Corrected’ and the remixes by Riva Starr, Alex Gopher and Freaky Friday are already heavily supported by leading tastemakers such as Chuckie, Fake Blood, Bart B More, Alex Metric, Boris Dlugosch and Steve Aoki.
SICK new video + a 9 minute odyyssey from the boys current live set + a HUGE remix of Haiku D’etat’s classic Mike, Aaron & Eddie. The first track is a taster before the live show on June 4th at the Roseland Theater.

ESKAMON is the new collaboration project between Amon Tobin (Ninja Tune) & Eskmo (Warp, Planet Mu). “Fine Objects” is the first single by the duo that’s set for release on Eskmo’s own imprint “Ancestor.” The digital release is set for an April 5th worldwide release date and the pair plans on giving out a free WAV sample pack of all the sounds created for the track. Hulk is a collaboration of two creative minds sharing a similar enthusiasm for heavy driven bass music, Claw & Richie August. After meeting at the 2009 Winter Music Conference in Miami, they began to send files back and forth to collaborate on projects in Dubstep, Hip Hop and Electro. FBM is a blog written about all kinds of music. We often focus on small acts and DJs, promoting and loving what we consider to be the very best in Indy, Dubstep, House and far beyond. We are a collective of (currently) unpaid kids based out of Portland Oregon.
