Before Chad Vangaalen took the stage, he presented a fifteen minute are piece which he calls Bald Static. Apparently the Canadian government awarded him a grant, with which he created the images you will see below. The piece uses many forms of art from screen-prints to claymation making for a menagerie of images as eclectic as the sounds on his record.

Speaking of his records, when he finally took the stage with two others (including Matthew Flegel of Women), Chad made his best effort to recreate those records live. All the elements were there, from fragile vocals to disorienting pop sounds. Essentially Chad Vangaalen offered a 180 degree turn around from the very disappointing, and frankly, boring set Women had played.
