New Mix by DJ Gray – FidgetaLove Oct. 08

In celebration of the election, I’m releasing a new mix I have been hard at work at for the past several weeks.  “For several weeks?!” you say? yes, that’s right, I’ve been building it bit by bit using Traktor DJ studio 3.4.  I don’t care what you say about replicating the authenticity of a live set, this mix is awesome and all the levels sound spot on because I can go back to any point in the mix and change the frequencies as much as I need.

So here it is, my “Fidgetal Love October 2008 mix.”  For you Portlanders, if you like this, come to ElectriCity this Friday and every Friday after that; you’re likely to hear much of the same.

First of all, props on the Blog and the mix…

On to Traktor…

Most of the people who hate on Digital DJ’s are the same people who hated on CDJs when they first came out, and hated on new turntables, like the Numark TTX when they first came out…

Change is painful, and scary…but I came up on Vinyl, embraced CDs and am unbelievably satisfied since I moved to a digital setup…I spin on a laptop using the Xponent midi controller and M-Audios Torq…and I defy anyone spinning vinyl to keep up with me when I play out…I can do so much more with my laptop than I can w/vinyl or cd’s and on the fly…

IT’s time for change!

I’m sorry Datyon, our webhost for our MP3’s deleted our entire mp3 library. We’re in the process of relocating everything, but it’s taking a while.
