Two songs to focus on.

As much as I love downloading music and pulling down whole packets of songs off the internet I sometimes worry that the audience is becoming jaded. The album may be dead (in dance music at least) but the individual track still deserves respect instead of being lost in the jumble of remixes and shear copious abundance of music available. That is of course if the song does in fact deserve respect. The right song will bring a dancefloor to a frenzy and will remain in your emotions for years to come. The right song will change your life.

The first standout of the week I found on the blog PandaToes and was in fact made my blogger himself as a mash up of “Pop that Pussy” by Duke Dumont and “555″ by Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso. It’s on repeat because both songs are catchy by themselves and it is an easy win combining new ghetto/hiphop house with the older and more respected deep and jacking electro house.

Here is what the creator said about the project:
“I pumped out a few mash-ups. Crafted through tinny headphones on a bumpy car ride with lots of extracurricular noise - just the way music was meant to be made! Regardless, I made ‘em for use in my sets, and they should be good enough for that. Perhaps they can help y’all out as well.”

The second track is a new remix of the beautiful song “Baby” by PNAU. In the same camp as Ladyhawk, this is soulful vocal electro and with the new remix we see piano being replaced by wonky basslines, out with the old and in with the new as we see artists jumping onto the Ghetto/Fidget bandwagon. The good news is the song is just as pretty with more “Whoa” on the dancefloor.
